Jokkmokk municipality is in an exciting period of development. In recent years, community planning has resulted in several prestigious projects, including Campus Jokkmokk with Vattenfall's new office, detailed plans for energy-intensive operations, and larger plans within the tourism industry.

We are now looking for an engaged Coordination Responsible Urban Planner/Community Planner

who wants to lead and develop Jokkmokk's community planning work. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the municipality's future through strategic and sustainable development work in close collaboration with politicians, colleagues, and external actors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a coordinator for community planning, you will take overall responsibility for coordinating and driving projects within comprehensive plans, detailed plans, and other strategic development projects.

Your role includes:

• driving and coordinating the municipality's community planning work with a focus on sustainable development.
• leading planning projects from the idea stage and planning decision to completed plan in collaboration with internal and external parties.
• representing Jokkmokk in inter-municipal projects, particularly focusing on energy and community planning in the green industrial transition.
• ensuring that community planning follows applicable legislation and promotes long-term goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in urban planning or equivalent who is passionate about sustainable community development. You have several years of experience in physical planning and are well-versed in the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and the Environmental Code. You are accustomed to handling GIS or CAD systems and have experience leading complex projects. If you have also worked with inter-municipal collaboration, it is a significant advantage.

Desirable qualifications:

• Knowledge of Geosecma and ArcGIS.
• Experience in project management or personnel responsibility.
• Ability to think strategically and create creative solutions in complex contexts.

The salary range for this position is 35,000 - 40,000 SEK/month. We apply individual salary setting based on your experience and competence.
